Morocco Negotiations

Making Translation Part of the Workflow to Maximize Impact

In November 2015, the government of Morocco developed a partnership with a major multilateral development bank in an effort to prevent the risks associated with climate change.

This 200-million-dollar project required the translation of highly sensitive material from English to French to facilitate the negotiations between the multilateral donor institution and the government of Morocco.

Given the strategic and legal implications of the project, JPD Systems assigned a team composed of two translators with expertise in environment policy and one editor with a legal background. A project manager acted as point of contact with the client and successfully managed to integrate multiple layers of comments (from the country team, the legal experts and the team leader). JPD Systems received high praises for its responsiveness and dedication to meeting the clients’ needs throughout the project.
