Ebola Story

Translation of Strategic Document Helped Approval of Multilateral Funding in Response to Crisis

Shortly after the World Health Organization declared the Ebola outbreak a public health emergency of international concern in August 2014, JPD Systems responded to an urgent translation request from one of the largest economic development institutions.

The project consisted of the translation from English to French of a 28,000-word document advocating for the mobilization of $285 million to support the three countries that were hit the hardest by Ebola: Sierra Leone, Guinea, and Liberia.

The translation of this immense and challenging project was instrumental in securing approval of multilateral funding in response to the Ebola crisis. The project manager praised JPD Systems for “the quality service, flexibility, and prompt response.”
